Donald A. "Don" Reardon, 81, of Coffeyville passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at his home surrounded by wife and children. He was born on December 23, 1934, in Coffeyville to Chet and Marie (Carson) Reardon. Don spent his early childhood in Liberty, KS until his family moved to Coffeyville here he completed his education graduating from Field Kindley High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. On August 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Faye Sidebottom. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where Don was a heavy equipment operator for Muller Construction for many years. He had also worked as a master plumber, electrician, welder and pipefitter he was a member of Local Union #. Don was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed day trading, trips to the casino, collecting antiques, and hunting, but most of all loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Faye of the home; one son, Pat Reardon of Wichita; four daughters, Donna Ridout of Whittier, CA, Kelly Reardon of Breinigsville, PA, Linda Daily of Wichita, and Lora Liddell of Coffeyville; two brothers, Jack Reardon and Joe Reardon both of Coffeyville; fifteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchidlren. A memorial service celebrating Don's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. J. Dean McNamara of the First Baptist Church and Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Inurnment will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. The family has suggested memorials be made to either the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or the First Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to c/O David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home. Following the viewing cremation will take place. The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or the First Baptist Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
