David O. Myers, 66, of Coffeyville, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 28, 1949, in Dallas, TX to George F. and Deloris Myers. When he was young his family moved to the Tyro, KS area where he grew up and attended school graduating from Wayside High School in Wayside, KS. He lived in Coffeyville where he did foundry work. David was a member of American Legion Post #20 for many years and loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include two sons, David W. Myers and wife Danielle of Coffeyville, and Thomas Myers of Bartlesville, OK; his mother, Deloris Myers of Coffeyville; two brothers, Steve Myers and Marshall Kriebel, three sisters, Katherine Beiter, Diane Klier, and Gloria Garretson; eight grandchildren, Michael, Hunter, Anthony, Destiny, Toya, Shantelle, Devon, and Solomon; one great-grandchild, Grayson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating David's life will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the South Coffeyville, OK First Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Filson officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fawn Creek Cemetery northeast of Tyro, KS. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, August 31st, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
