Obituary of Frederick Francis Vannoster

Fredrick "Fred" Francis Vannoster, 86, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Fred was born on February 18, 1930 in Appleton City, Missouri to Will and Minnie (Smith) Vannoster. He grew up in Lenapah, Oklahoma where he graduated high school. On December 5, 1955 he married the love of his life, Ann Barnhart in Independence, Kansas. The couple made Coffeyville their home. Fred worked at Atlas Outdoor Adventure Company, Midwest Minerals and spent over 20 years in the Public Service Department for the City of Coffeyville until he retired in 1993. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and tractors. Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family and friends. Surviving to honor his memory is his loving wife, Ann of the home; sons, Dennis Vannoster and wife Geri, Tim Vannoster and wife Ann Marie, Scott Vannoster and Ronald Vannoster; one grandson, Daniel Vannoster; four granddaughters, Holly Vannoster, Jessica Vannoster, Kari Vannoster, Katie Vannoster and five great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Minnie; son, Andrew Vannoster; four brothers and two sisters. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Chaplain Keith Springer with Harry Hynes Hospice will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
