Judith "Judy" Carole Meek, 76, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Hllcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy was born on December 23, 1940 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Virgil and Helen (Baker) Mosher. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School. Judy was united in marriage to Raymond Walthall and of that union two children were born. She was then married to Joe Jarrett and of that union a child was born, the couple later divorced. On January 21, 1985 she was married to her soul mate, Danny Lee Meek in Dearing, Kansas. The couple made Coffeyville their home. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1994. Judy loved collecting antiques and going to flea markets, so much so that she worked for the Wishing Well and the Blue Barn in Coffeyville. She enjoyed playing cards and games and her favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved her dogs and most of all the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, David Walthall of Coffeyville, Kansas; Shelly Vance of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jason Jarrett and wife Jessi of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brother, Steve Mosher and wife Vicky of Catoosa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Zachary Vance, Mackenzie Vance, Brennen Vance and Jaden Jarrett; three great grandchildren; nieces, LeAnn Miller and husband, Phil, Lynette Greer and husband, Jeff, Lori Conner and husband, Carl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Helen Mosher and husband, Danny Meek. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may sign the guest register on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at David W. Barnes Funeal Home in Coffeyville, Kansas from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Relay For Life; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
