Obituary of Guy Leon "Lonnie" Wall

Guy Leon “Lonnie” Wall, 80, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 22, 1936, at Sedan, KS to Leo and Dorothy Trinville (Davis) Wall. Lonnie grew up and attended school in Elgin and Sedan. Lonnie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On July 15, 1961, he was united in marriage to Doris Gillman at Independence, KS. Following their marriage they lived in Cleveland, OK, and Oregon before moving to Coffeyville. Lonnie worked construction jobs for many years. He enjoyed going to yard sales, and visiting with his friends having coffee at McDonalds. Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home; one son, Chris Wall of Coffeyville; and three sisters, Lavonne Neighbors of Coffeyville, Jeanette Pape of Sedan, and Betty Beasley and husband Jim of Sedan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kim Wall, one brother, Johnnie Wall, and one sister, Mary Larkin. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio in Coffeyville with Pastor Gordon Willhite of the First Christian Church officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
