Obituary of Carl Wayne Felton

Carl Wayne Felton, 58, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carl was born on October 13, 1958 in Coffeyville, Kansas to John and Charlotte (McRay) Felton. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended school. He then went to Fort Scott vocational school to receive his truck driving certification. At a young age he got the nickname "Corn Dog" and was called that by most of his close friends. Carl worked at OMC, Midwest Minerals and most recently for Western Drill as a truck driver hauling drill pipe. He spent his free time with friends and family at the American Legion in Coffeyville. He enjoyed gambling, playing board games and computer games. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent visiting with friends and family. Carl is survived by his mother, Charlotte Felton; daughter, Crystal Felton and significant other, Shaun; daughter in law, Becky (Miller) Felton; grandchildren, KayLee Felton, Dustin Felton, Alexia Felton, Chassity Felton, Serenity Felton and Andy Felton, Jr. all of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; aunt, Lynn Johnson and family friend Roy Kinney; uncle, C.L. McRay and wife, Shirley of Coffeyville, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Felton; son, Andy Felton; uncle, LeRoy Felton and wife, Betty. Following Carl's wishes cremation has taken place and a family gathering at the American Legion in Coffeyville followed by inurnment at Restlawn Cemetery will take place at a later date.
