Obituary of Charles E. Michel

Charles Eugene Michel passed away peacefully at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Tuesday March 21, 2017. Born October 9, 1928 in Marionville, Missouri to Lewis and Velma (Rapp) Michel, Charles attended Aurora, Missouri schools and Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield, Missouri. Charles married Ella Monalou Evans July 21, 1950 in Aurora. They made their home in Coffeyville where Charles worked in the printing business before establishing Charley's Business Forms. Charles was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Coffeyville and the Masonic Lodge. He volunteered at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for many years. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Monalou and daughter Nikki Lynn. He is survived by son Mike (Jan) of Topeka, daughters Julie (Tim) Wiles and Linette (Tom) Tipton both of Coffeyville and daughter Diedre of Wichita as well as 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Following Charles' wishes cremation has taken place and private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation or First Presbyterian Church of Coffeyville; contributions may be left with the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
