Jack D. Miller, "Big Dog" left this world August 4, 2017 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at the age of 78.

He was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on July 2, 1939 to Charles L & Della (Griffith) Miller. He grew up in Coffeyville and went to Cedar Bluff School, McKinley Elementary School, Roosevelt Jr. High School and graduated from Field Kindley High School. He married Patti Gottschalk of Coffeyville July 9, 1960.

Jack had many different jobs. He worked as a school bus driver for Cedar Bluff School. He also worked at Hoseney's Dressed Beef and operated Jack & Patti's in the Nu-Way Food Liner, was owner of Jack & Patti's Diner and worked part time as manager of the meat department for Country Mart of Caney. He sold cars for County Line Auto in Coffeyville and worked part time for the City of Coffeyville, managing the Tree Dump. He was a lifetime member of Future Farmers of America (FFA) and was active in the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce, Coffeyville Sportsman Club, Montgomery County Conservations, Farm Bureau Association, Kansas Meat Processors Association, American Association of Meat Processors, Coffeyville Rotary Club, Coffeyville Country Club Board of Directors, Leadership Coffeyville, and Hillcrest Golf Course Advisory Board. He was also a member of the Agriculture Hall of Fame (Coffeyville Community College), received a Honorary "State" Farmer Degree from Kansas State University and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carol Kerly and one brother, Charles Miller.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Patti, one daughter Jerri Ann Weed and her husband Dan of Phoenix, Arizona, one sister Frederica Barnhart of Coffeyville, Kansas, one niece, Cindy Mecom and her husband Bryan of Coffeyville, Kansas, one nephew Randy Miller of Seabrook, Texas.

He will truly be missed by so many.
