Mary M. Boomershine, 79, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at her home. She was born on December 29, 1937, at Coffeyville to William Randall and Florence B. (Moon) Leach. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Field Kindley High School. Mrs. Boomershine lived in Oregon for over 20 years where she was employed as a Nutritionist at the Oregon Health and Science University Hospital until her retirement in 2014. Following her retirement she returned to Coffeyville. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed watching Nascar races, playing bingo, and going to the casino. But most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include one son, Gene Champion of Manteca, CA; two daughters, Jackie Sue Duvall of Wagoner, OK and Ann Marie Cramer of Coweta, OK; one sister, Beverley Hafford of Coffeyville; one brother, Adin Leach of Fort Scott; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joan Matson and two nephews, Alan Leach and Randy Hafford. A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Calvary Cemetery with Father Daniel Lorimer officiating.
