Obituary of Bennie Bee Blevins

Bennie Bee Blevins, 67, was born on July 6, 1950, to Robert Heath Blevins and Doris (Horton) Blevins. He attended Angola Grade School and graduated from Labette County High School. He attended Pittsburg State University, Coffeyville Community College and Wichita State University. He married Marion Steitz in 1975; Aaron Heath Blevins was born on February 9, 1979. He married Lynda Andress on October 13, 2001. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2016. He attended various churches in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He was currently a member of Crosstimbers Community Church in Edna, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Heath Blevins; and a granddaughter, Jacey Lane Blevins. Survivors are his mother, Doris Blevins; son, Aaron Blevins; daughter-in-law, Rachel Blevins; two granddaughters, Shelby and Haley; brothers, Bill Blevins and wife, Flo of Garden City, KS; and Ted Blevins and wife, Kathy of Edna, KS; sisters, Cula Murphy and husband, Dary of Maize, KS, and Kathy Kraft and husband, Jim of Gridley, KS; many cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating Bennie's life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Crosstimbers Community Church in Edna with Pastor Mark Wettengel officiating. Inurnment will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the Bixby Cemetery at Bixby, OK. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the Crosstimbers Community Church Building Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
