Condolences to the family of Wayne Hett:
Susan: Condolences to you and your family. Due to your riding with me back and forth to Westmar and your being from Kansas, I knew your father had to be a good person, minister, man of God, and a gentleman.
That type of a person draws many people to him and he to them. You were blessed to have a good father as I was.
Let me hear from you at least to touch base once again! What about Warren? Joan

Just recently heard of Wayne's passing. Wayne was a good man and a good friend. We pastored churches in the same Association. Always enjoyed visiting with Wayne. Dorothy was always an upbeat person who saw good in everyone.
Wayne and I once traveled to Memphis to attend a pastor's conference. Really got to know his heart on that trip.
Condolences to all the family.

I’ve know Wayne the majority of my life. He was the pastor of my childhood church, the man who solidified my belief in Jesus, Baptized me and made sure at a young age I was sincere in my walk with God, father of my best friend, a man with an ornery sense of humor, a perfect complement to Dorothy, my second family, and one of the best men I know. He is in some of my favorite memories from childhood, from trips in the truck...we rode in the open back in those days, sometimes the camper was on so we had some coverage, to Sunday’s and potlucks, to church camp at Camp Virgil, to everyday time spent with the family. I’m blessed to have known and loved him. I know he is rejoicing with his soulmate at Jesus side. Hugs to everyone. These tears are because he is missed, not because we don’t know he is rejoicing and we will see him again!

My father was my hero. Not only was he a Christian, but he lived a righteous life, pleasing and honoring to God. His faith was very strong; that's because God took him through the refining fire many times. One of the best things about my dad was his ornery sense of humor.
If you have any funny or special memories, please share them here. We want to celebrate his life.

I knew Pastor Wayne from the time I was a young child. His wife, Dorothy, used to come to our home on a regular basis for visits with my mother. Her smile always wanted my heart. I am so glad that they are finally reunited. God bless the family, he will be greatly missed. I pray for the day where we will all be reunited next to our Father.

Pastor Wayne was a great man. He would do anything to help others out. Wayne had one of the biggest hearts I know. When he was the pastor at riverside Baptist church he always made you feel like you belonged there with no worries. I consider him and his late wife as my own grandparents. I Will l surely miss him. He was one of a kind . My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends in this time of need. I love you guys so very Much.
