Obituary of Doris Lee Frey

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris (Scott)Frey announces her passing on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Doris grew up in Coffeyville. KS. She graduated from Field Kindly High School in Coffeyville, KS in 1952. Doris was married to Paul Frey for 52 years until his death in 2004. They live a short time in Colorado Springs, CO while Paul served in the U.S. Army. In 1962, She and Paul moved to South Coffeyville where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Doris and Paul owned Mr. Paul's Barber Shop in South Coffeyville, OK until his retirement in 1997. Doris was known for her work with the OK State Elections Board and the Cherokee Nations Election Board as an election official in South Coffeyville, Nowata County during 1970s, through the early 2000's. Doris and Paul enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV trailer at various lakes in Oklahoma, most notably, Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, where She and Paul owned a second home in Bernice, OK for several years. Doris is predeceased by her husband Paul and sister Karen Rogers. She is survived by one brother; Joe Scott, nephews; Jerry Rogers, Johnny Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Terry Rogers, and Charley Scott, and niece, Shelly Scott. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Pastor Mark Wilson of the First Church of God officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
