Obituary of LeeAnna Cheryl Holloway-Wehmeier

LeeAnna Cheryl Hollaway Wehmeier, 51, passed away on Friday, March 30th, 2018 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. LeeAnna was born on July 9th, 1966 to Walter and Drenda "Andy" Johnson, she was the sister of Wayne Johnson and Dena Moore.

LeAnna met John Wehmeier in 2000 and they got married on February 12th, 2010. During their 18 years together they raised seven children, Cory James Pease, Kaitlyn AnnMarie McIntire, Andrew Wesley Wehmeier, Brittany Nicole Grooms, Kristen Fowler, Kimberly Lynn Wehmeier, and Casie Lynn Weheimer. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

LeeAnna attended Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. She started her career in medicine at age 14, working as a Nurse Aide. LeeAnna continued on in her education to include Med Aide, LPN, and then receiving her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing on May 14th, 2004 as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Windsor Place after graduating from nursing school until she started as a Home Health Nurse at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in November 2015. LeeAnna was a devoted nurse to all her patients and cared for them until she was hospitalized.

A Memorial Service celebrating LeeAnna's life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6th, 2018 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas with Pastor Jason Evans of Fredonia, Kansas officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
