Obituary of Sheri E. Robbins

Dearing, KS - Sheri Ellen Robbins, 53, of Jordan, Minnesota, formerly of Dearing, passed away Thursday (June 1, 2006) at her home in Jordan. She was born December 24, 1952, at Wichita, KS to William C. and Margeret (Smith) Smith. She grew up in Wichita where she attended school, graduating from Wichita South High School. She married Rick Vannoster in 1972, they were later divorced. On November 3, 1978, she married Joseph Robbins at Dearing. Following their marriage they lived in Woodward, OK, and Dearing. While living in Dearing she was employed at Medicalodge and Aptus both in Coffeyville. In 1994 they moved to Jordan, MN. She was an administrative assistant at Carghill. She was a member of the Dearing Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph of the home in Jordan; two sons, Joseph Robbins, and Robert Robbins both of Dearing; three daughters, Annette Robbins of Thornton, CO, Lisa Elder, and Crystal Link both of Jordan, MN; her mother Margeret Smith of Dearing; two brothers, Chester Smith of Winfield, and Larry Smith of Coffeyville; one sister, Linda Mersberg of Dearing; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Richard Smith. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (June 8, 2006) at the Dearing Christian Church in Dearing, with Reverend Jamie Regis officiating. Burial will be in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
