Obituary of Aaron Jarrett Cook

Aaron J Cook, 49 of Parsons, Kansas, passed from this life at his residence Nov. 11, 2016. A memorial service is planned for Nov. 19, 2016 at 10a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Sedan, Kansas. Rev John Russell Warring officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Aaron Jarrett Cook was born June 24, 1967 in Wm Newton Memorial Hospital, Winfield, Kansas to Leroy A Cook and Donnetta T (Israel) Cook. Aaron spent his early childhood in Oxford, Kansas and moved with the family to Sedan, Kansas during March, 1971. He attended Sedan grade and High School, graduating May, 1985. After graduation, he attended and graduated from Wichita Area Vo-Tech School in June, 1992 with a certificate as a Medical Lab. Technician. Shortly thereafter, he began employment in Sept., 1992 at Labette County Medical Center, Parsons, Kansas, serving there for over 22 years. Aaron was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sedan Kansas and was baptized as a youth while in Sedan. Survivors include his father, Leroy A Cook and Step-mother Sherry L. Cook of Bartlesville; sister, Lora D McIntyre and husband Kevin McIntyre, Centennial, Colorado and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and both of his fraternal and maternal grandparents. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Aaron to the First Baptist Church, Sedan, Ks to The World Mission Offering. Interment will take place at a later date at the cemetery near Cimarron, KS
