Obituary of Mae Maros

Mae Maros, 86, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 7, 1931, at St. Louis, MO to Harold and Julia (Casanover) Wieland. Mae grew up and attended school in the St. Louis area graduating from Afton High School in Afton, MO. She married Art Jones; following their marriage they moved to Coffeyville in 1950, where they raised their five children. They were later divorced. Mae married William Howard "Bill" Cessna in Coffeyville on June 12, 1969. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1994. She later married Andrew "Andy" Maros. He preceded her in death. Mae was a homemaker and attended the Tyro Christian Church. She enjoyed growing plants, crossword puzzles, reading her bible daily, and spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Laurie Verratti of Coffeyville; four sons, Philip Jones of Bartlesville, OK, Bruce Jones of Blue Jacket, OK, Steve Jones of Coffeyville, and Tom Jones of Coffeyville; one brother, David Wieland of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Carol Hugo of Bartlesville, OK; twenty-two grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
