Obituary of Rita Joan Stansbury

Rita Joan Stansbury, 70, of Dearing, KS passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. She was born on October 22, 1947 at Coffeyville to Wayne and Pauline (Walker) Stevens. Rita grew up in Coffeyville where she attended school graduating from Field Kindley High School. On March 20, 1965 she married Clyde O. Stansbury at Miami, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville where they raised their three children. Clyde preceded her in death on May 28, 1994. Rita was a member of Amazing Grace Chapel in Coffeyville. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Mark Stansbury and wife, Belinda of Coffeyville, Michael Stansbury and wife, Daveen of Coffeyville; one daughter, Kelly Haney and husband, Bobby of Dearing; one brother, Gary Stevens and wife, Gail of Coffeyville; and twelve grandchildren. Services celebrating Rita's life will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Amazing Grace Chapel, 501 East 9th St. with Pastor Gary Stevens officiating. Following the service cremation will take place and private family inurnment will be at a later date in Robbins Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Amazing Grace Chapel; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
