Obituary of Jerry L. Carson

Jerry L. Carson, 77, of Dearing, KS passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1940 at Cherryvale, KS to Melvin and Elizabeth (King) Carson. Jerry attended school at Valeda, KS and completed his education at Cherryvale, KS. On May 17, 1976, he married Kathleen "Kitty" Maher at Salem, MO. Following their married they lived in Labette and Montgomery Counties. Jerry worked at Acme Foundry for several years. While living in Labette County he attended the Edna Assembly of God. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, loved going to auctions and flea markets, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones where his humor and wit always made an appearance. Survivors include his wife, Kitty of the home; his children, Cindy Willard of Williamsville, MO, Johnny Jay Keitzer of Coffeyville, Kitten Reynolds and Janet Woolsey both of Altamont, KS; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard Keitzer, and siblings, Virginia Stair, Carl Carson, Robert Carson and Joan Robinett. Following Jerry's wishes cremation has taken place and the family is planning a memorial service celebrating his life at a later date.
