Obituary of Betty Jo Starnes

Betty Jo Starnes, 81, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. She was born on December 24, 1935, at Mannford, OK to Elvis Lee and Lessie Marie (Reddus) Pulliam. Betty Jo grew up and attended school in Mannford, graduating from Mannford High School. Following high school she attended and graduated from Business College in Tulsa, OK. Betty Jo moved her family to Coffeyville in 1969, where she was manager of Med-Source for many years. She loved watching sports on television, crocheting, working in her yard, and was an excellent cook, but her greatest love was spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Rick Johnson, Donna Madron and husband Rodney, Cathy Johnson and spouse Carrie Johnson-Seeger, Rocky Starnes and wife Trisha, and Roger Starnes; her step-children, Clinton Starnes, Bill Ryan, Larry Starnes, Steve Starnes, Sharon Stong, Brenda Cain, Charlotte Hemmy and Doug Crawmer; grandchildren, Sarah Key, Yancey Johnson, Billy Johnson, Tim Rosson, Travis Rosson, Toby Rosson, Shannon Seeger, Kaden Flavin, Wyatt Starnes, Emmett Starnes, Colby Strarnes, and Lacie Starnes; eleven great-grandchildchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and step-daughters, Linda O'Neal and Carol Davis. A Memorial Service celebrating Betty Jo's life will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Dearing Christian Church with Pastor Jamie Regis officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in the Mannford Cemetery in Mannford, OK. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
