Coffeyville - Rosa Mae Rose, 68, of Coffeyville, passed away Monday night (February 5, 2007) at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born March 20, 1938 at Coffeyville to Joe B. and Pauline (Walters) Majors. She grew up in the Wann, OK area where she attended school. On November 20, 1956 she married John A. Rose at the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville and Neodesha until moving to south Texas in the Corpus Christi area where they lived several years until returning to Coffeyville. She attended Faith Life Fellowship at Caney and was actively involved in Lay Witness Ministry. Survivors include her husband, John A. Rose of the home in Coffeyville; three daughters, Valerie Peace of Sherman, KS, Karen Zavala of Caney, and Susan Wilson of Bartlesville, OK; three sisters, Shirley Miner, Patricia Marlow, and Nancy Slayton all of Coffeyville; one brother, Darrell Majors of rural Nowata, OK; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (February 10, 2007) at Faith Life Fellowship in Caney with Pastor Thurman Taylor officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Faith Life Fellowship, contributions may be left with the funeral home.
