Obituary of Leslie Lloyd Martin

Please share a memory of Leslie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leslie Lloyd Martin stepped across the threshold to be reunited with his beloved wife in eternal glory on the 14th day of February 2022. He was born on February 20th, 1935, to James and Maude Martin. He married Martha Kitchens on November 11th, 1962. He was employed by the Coffeyville Flour Mill achieving 40 plus years with the company. Among his interests were talking on his CB radios, playing harmonicas, singing at church, camping with his family and taking his sailboat out for a spin. He spoiled his grandsons every chance he could, they were his pride and joy. He acquired many canine friends over the years, as well as his cherished Tony the Tiger cat who kept him entertained. He also loved westerns and Jimmy Stewart movies. He is survived by his son, David and wife Amy Randles Martin; two daughters, Kathy Pippin and husband Jerry Pippin, Pam Martin Ward and husband Joe Ward; four grandsons, Dusty, Dawson, Drake and Maxxwell; and honorary sons Chris Harrell, Matt York and JD Payden. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha, two brothers, three sisters, and many other relatives and friends. He was extremely grateful to his friend Kenny Kitchens for introducing him to his sister, Martha, without whom, his family wouldn’t have come to fruition. He was ever so grateful to Matt and JD who took time out of their busy schedules to help him with tasks that he could no longer do on his own. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a good father, grandfather and friend. Heaven has become a much-coveted treasure to one day enter into eternal rest. We have too much to gain to lose. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Pastor Randy DePriest officiating. Friends may call on Friday, February 18th, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
