Carl Dean Killion, 74, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 14, 1948, in Coffeyville to Darrell Dean and Louise Evelyn (St. John) Killion. Carl grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1966. Following high school he attended Coffeyville Community College graduating in 1968 with an Associate of Arts Degree. Carl was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1973. After receiving his Honorable Discharge, he returned to Coffeyville before moving to Pittsburg to attend Pittsburg State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1975. Following graduation, he was employed at Howard Chevrolet in Owasso, Oklahoma as a accountant. In 1979 he returned to Coffeyville and began his career at Medicalodges, Inc. as an accountant where he remained until retiring. Carl is survived by his cousins, Pat Holeman, Joyce Adair, and Janet Morgan all of Coffeyville as well as several other cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell Dean and Louise Evelyn Killion, his stepmother, Maxine Killion and two brothers, Michael C. Killion, and Steven L. Killion. A Memorial Service celebrating Carl's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio. Inurnment will follow the service. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, March 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
