Obituary of Thelma Darnall

Sedan - Thelma "Renni" Darnall, age 89, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, January 1, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas. She was born April 11, 1917 in Elgin, Kansas to Edward "Mack" and Mona (Mearl) Boulanger. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School. She married Dean Birch. They later divorced. She married Joe Darnall on July 8, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Clydean Littrell and her husband Dean of Chautauqua, Kansas; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, two brothers and one sister. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2007 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas with Earl Tresner officiating. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Chautauqua Senior Citizens and these remembrances may be left at the funeral home.
