Sedan - Carolyn Virginia Jackson- McLaughlin, age 59, of Cedar Vale, passed away Sunday morning, November 26, 2006 at the Caney Nursing Center in Caney, Kansas. She was born August 6, 1947 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Jim H. Jackson and Doris (Sanders) Jackson-Fesler. She attended and graduated from the Lakeside High School in Lake Village, Arkansas. She married James Henry McLaughlin in 1966. They later divorced in 1992. She worked as an accountant with Continental Airlines in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the Vayou Mason Baptist Church in Lake Village, Arkansas. She is survived by her mother, Doris Fesler of Cedar Vale, Kansas; three sisters, Anita J. Utt and husband Donnie Stone of Cedar Vale, Kansas, Norma E. Ragan and husband Mike of Rohwer, Arkansas and Tammie A. Kelly and husband Dave of Cedar Vale, Kansas; two nephews, Charlie Kelly of Dexter, Kansas and Wyatt Kelly of Cedar Vale, Kansas; two nieces, Jenny Kelly of Cedar Vale, Kansas and Sara Mott of Newkirk, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several step-nieces and step-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim H. Jackson; one brother, Ronnie Jackson and her step-father Lyman Fesler. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Wauneta United Methodist Church in Wauneta, Kansas with Reverend Jerry Bever officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Lake Providence City Cemetery in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
