Sedan - Goldie B. Foster, age 97, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas. She was born July 16, 1909 in Dewey, Oklahoma to James F. and Elnora (Vanderhoof) Moore. She moved to Sedan in the 1940's. In 1959, she married George Foster. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sedan and she loved to crochet and cook. She is survived by one son, Charles Ray Stark of Santa Rosa, California; two sisters, Jewell Steeper of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Georgia They of Grove, Oklahoma and seven grandchildren, John Joe Bush, Bob Bush, David Bush, Karen Cullison, Allen Stark, Marie Stark and Amelia Stark. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters and one brother. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2006 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with Harry Hynes Hospice Chaplain Mike Graham officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Pleasant Valley Manor Activity Fund and these remembrances may be left at the funeral home.
