Obituary of Larry Long

Sedan - Larry Gean Long, age 60, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Larry was born July 17, 1946 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to C.B. and Eva (Niblack) Long. He attended school in the Cedar Vale and Sedan areas, graduating in 1965. He married Betty Trowbridge and they later divorced. He later married Virginia Myers on April 25, 1984 in Sedan, Kansas. They lived in the Sedan area for twenty years. She preceded him in death on February 4, 2006. He worked in the carpentry business until he retired due to disability. He attended church at the United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Mike Tucker of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his mother, Eva Lawrence of Sedan, Kansas; two brothers, David Long of Mustang, Oklahoma and Bud Long of Winfield, Kansas and three grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Riley Cemetery, East of Sedan, Kansas. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas. David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan is in charge of arrangements.
