Coffeyville - Norma J. "Jeannie" Kerns, 63, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born February 16, 1948 at Coffeyville to Donald Everett and Anna Belle (King) Collins. Jeannie grew up and attended school in the South Coffeyville area, she also attended Lenapah Schools. She married Lonnie Lakey, they were later divorced. She married David Bond and they were divorced. Jeannie married Duane Kerns, they were later divorced. Jeannie worked cleaning houses for many people in Coffeyville. She enjoyed crafting, playing cards and bingo, loved spending time with her family, and she never met a stranger. Survivors include three daughters, Penny Collins of Coffeyville, LaDonna Marlow of Coffeyville and Misty Turner of South Coffeyville, OK; eight half-brothers, Jimmy Collins, Donald Collins, Larry Collins, Billy Collins, Tommy Collins, Dennis Crandell, Paul Crandell, and John Crandell; 11 half-sisters, Betty Smith, Ruth A. Collins, Sharon Collins, Faye Chapman, Diane Baert, Suzie Malone, Donnette Close, Grace Collins, Orleta Gentry, Gretchen Addington, and Annette Millard; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Paula Ann Lakey; one sister, Betty Spaht, and one half-brother, Mike Collins. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, OK. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
