Coffeyville - Henrietta West, 69, of South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at her home. She was born January 24, 1942 at Independence, KS to Henry and Alma Pearl (Twitchell) Burris. Her father died when she was nine months old; when she was three years old her mother married Raymond Clough who raised her as his daughter. She grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School. On March 16, 1962 she married Mendal Eugene West at Vinita, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma. Her husband preceded her in death on December 18, 2010. Mrs. West was a member of Lewark Church of God. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Melinda Jean Shipman and husband Jimmie of Coffeyville; one son, Charles Christopher West and wife Michelle of Coffeyville; one brother, Richard Clough of Springfield, MO; and three grandchildren, Allison, Cody and Alexis all of Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Burris. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Lewark Church of God with Pastor J.D. Wright, and Pastor Ernie Wright officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Lewark Church of God; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337
