Sedan - Frieda A. Warren, age 90, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born August 18, 1920 in Buffalo, Kansas to Fred and Bertha (Anderson) Rexroad. She was raised in the Fowler Community and attended Fowler School and attended Chautauqua School. On March 27, 1938 she married George Warren in Sedan, Kansas. They made their home in the Grafton area until moving to Sedan in the early 1980's. She worked as Head Dietician at the Sedan City Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband in March of 1991. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sedan, Order of Eastern Star, and the Dorcus Society. She also quilted for many years in the Grafton community. She loved to quilt, crochet, cook, and entertain. She is survived by one daughter, Patsy and husband John Mann of Moline, Kansas; one son, Jack and wife Mary Warren of Sedan, Kansas; five grandchildren, Natalie Watson of Wichita, Kansas, Angela Mills of Roanoke, Virginia, David Warren of Eureka, Kansas, Debbie Wolfe of Moline, Kansas, and Cindy Elliot of Howard, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley Crawley, Tiffany Cradduck, Josh Cradduck, Abby Warren, Emma Warren, Cody Elliott, Clayton Elliott, Brandon Wolfe, and Allison Wolfe; three great-great-grandchildren, Hayden Cradduck, Peyton Herrera, and Daylon Cradduck. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers, Basil and Steve Rexroad. Church Services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Sedan with Reverend John Warring officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Chautauqua. Family and friends may call on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. The family has suggested memorials to the Sedan City Hospital, Pleasant Valley Manor, or the First Christian Church. Those remembrances may be left in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
