Coffeyville - Betty Jane Gregory, 60, of Coffeyville passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at her home. She was born December 11, 1950 at rural Roscoe, MO to H.A. and Lillian E. (Dunham) Chamberlin. When she was young her family moved to Fort Scott, KS where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Fort Scott High School. She attended Pittsburg State University where she received her Bachelor Degree. After completing college she moved to Coffeyville where she worked for U.S.D. 445 serving as Librarian in all of the schools. She was currently serving as Librarian at Roosevelt Middle School and Field Kindley High School. Betty was a member of NEA, and KNEA. She enjoyed reading, gaming, growing flowers, woodworking, and spending time with family especially her daughter and grandson. Survivors include her daughter, Linzi Gregory of the home and her fiance, Josh Thomas of Coffeyville; one grandson, Crash Thomas; Josh's children, Trey Thomas, Jayden Thomas, Jay Dee Thomas, Jace Thomas, and DeCe Thomas; one brother, Vic Chamberlin of Phoenix, AZ; and her close friend, Bev Mashburn of Coffeyville. Following Betty's wished cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the First Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall with Rev.
