Coffeyville - Cathy Allen Duncan, 47, of Pawhuska, OK, formerly of Coffeyville, and Chanute, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. She was born April 4, 1963 at Puyallup, WA, to Charley and Anna (Mustonen) Allen. Cathy attended school in Washington State until moving with her family to Dearing where she attended Dearing School and Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville graduating in 1981. After high school she attended classes and became a Certified Nurses Aide. Cathy did contract nursing for several years working at locations in Kansas and Missouri. On March 11, 2007 she married Hurley Duncan at Pawhuska, OK. She was a member of the First Church of God in Coffeyville. Cathy was active with her husband in the Christmas Toy Run, and ABATE, A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education (a group for motorcyclist rights). Survivors include her husband, Hurley of the home in Pawhuska, OK; her mother, Anna Allen of Dearing; one sister, Caren Ketchum and husband Mike of Dearing; her grandmother, May Mustonen of Nowata, OK; several aunts, uncles and many cousins; and her cat Mao Mao. She was preceded in death by her father, Charley A. Allen, Jr., and grandparents, Charley and Ina Allen, Sr., and Wayne Mustonen, Sr. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the First Church of God 4th and Cline in Coffeyville, with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials to the First Church of God; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
