Coffeyville - Hazel M. Shipman, 87, of Coffeyville, formerly of Azle, TX, passed away Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1923, at Beachton, OK, to Julian and Ollie (Bauchum) Lawrence. Her family later moved to San Angelo, TX where she completed her education graduating from Lakeview High School. On January 26, 1944, she married Robert E. Shipman at San Angelo, TX. They lived in Azle, TX for 30 years. Following her husband's death on May 24, 2003, she continued to make her home in Azle until moving to Coffeyville in 2006 to be closer to her family. She was a member of the Lewark Church of God. Survivors include one son, Jimmie Shipman and wife, Mindy of Coffeyville; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one infant daughter, one brother, one daughter-in-law and one great-granddaughter. Services will at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at the Lewark Church of God, with Pastor Ernie Wright and her son, Jimmie Shipman officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Texas. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lewark Church of God in Coffeyville. Tagged as: Lewark Church of God
