Sedan - Weltha Mae McGregor, age 90, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Friday morning, November 5, 2010 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas. She was born March 2, 1920 in Moore Prairie, west of Sedan, Kansas to William and Mabel (Post) Wendt. She attended and graduated from Sedan High School. She married Gerald W. Mills and he preceded her in death in 1958. She later married Herman Roecker and he preceded her in death. She later married John McGregor on September 7, 1991 in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2010. She worked as an Office Manager for Union Gas for over twenty years until her retirement. She was a life-long resident of Sedan, Kansas. She was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her cats, crafts, games and her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Keller and her husband Doug of Independence, Missouri; one half sister, Lela Tyson of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands and one sister. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2010 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Sedan, Kansas with Reverend Gene DeWitt and Pastor John Warring officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home, the First Baptist Church of Sedan or the Chautauqua County Animal Shelter and these remembrances may be left in care of David W.
