Obituary of Stephen Murrary

Coffeyville - Stephen Blaine Murray, 66, of Coffeyville passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his home. Steve was born on February 26, 1944 in Coffeyville to John C. and Evelyn (Benefiel) Murray. He grew up in the Coffeyville attending Clymore School northeast of Coffeyville and Coffeyville schools. On July 25, 1964 he married Vivian Loffer at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Steve worked for many years as a machinist in Tulsa, OK, and retired several years ago as Manager of Coastal Mart in Coffeyville. Survivors include his wife, Vivian of the home; daughters, Pamela Sisco of Independence, and Leann Johnson of Coffeyville; son, Stephen Richard "Rick" Murray of Coffeyville; brothers, John C. Murray of Springfield, MO, and Roger Phillips of Baxter Springs, KS; sisters, Patricia Wong of Tulsa, OK, and Teresa Hare of Coffeyville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one son, and three grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may sign the register book on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
