Elizabeth "Bette" Darnall Ringle was born July 1, 1921 in Chautauqua, County, Kansas
to Elim and Josephine (Fox) Darnall. She passed away January 1, 2010 in Garland, TX. She was a High School Graduate of Chautauqua, Kansas and a College graduate from the University of California at Berkeley, CA. She served many years as the director of the Social Welfare Dept. of Bernalillo County Medical center, which is now the University of New Mexico Hospital, in Albuquerque. NM. She was a tireless Volunteer for numerous charities including the Arthritis Foundations of New Mexico and Kansas.
Bette, husband Del and their two children lived in Albuquerque for many years before the couple retired to Topeka, Kansas. The past few years of her life she lived in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
There was nothing more important to her than her family. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Elim and Josephine Darnall, her husband F.A. "Del" Ringle, brothers Charles B. Darnall, twin brothers Omer and Comer Darnall, and infant twin brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Ringle- Bartels, of Midland, Michigan, her son, Brett Ringle, and wife Sue of Dallas, TX, Her grandsons, Matthew Bartels, James Bartels, and Kyle Ringle, her sisters, Ruby Alford of Topeka, Ks, Twila Boyer of Palmyra, MO, and Nedra Holroyd of Topeka, KS, her brother, Walter Darnall of Sedan, Ks and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 10: 30 a.m. at the Chautauqua Southern Baptist Church in Chautauqua, KS. Burial will follow in the El Cado Cemetery south of Peru, KS.
Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
The family suggests memorials to the Chautauqua Memorial Park in Chautauqua, Ks;
