Obituary of David E. Wellington

Coffeyville - David E. Wellington, 66, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Medicalodge in Coffeyville. He was born October 13, 1943 in Durham, North Carolina to Clyde and Alene (Price) Wellington. He attended school at Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. On March 2, 1965 he was drafted into the United States Army and served thirteen months in Korea where he was an Engineer of Missle Equipment. He received a National Defense Service Medal. He returned from Korea and was put on the reserves on December 6, 1966 and served until he was honorably discharged on March 4, 1971. He worked as a self-employed electronics repair and salesman for over thirty years. Survivors include his mother, Alene Wellington of Coffeyville, Kansas; one daughter, Laurie and husband Don Holler of Coffeyville, Kansas; two sisters, Teresa and husband Earl Crouch of Coffeyville, Kansas and Mary Lou and husband Larry Potter of Cushing, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Tabitha, Joshua, and Samantha Holler, and one great grandson, Benjamin David Holler.
