Coffeyville - Jeanette Margaret Lippincott, 90, of Plano, TX, formerly of Coffeyville, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at her home in Plano. She was born July 16, 1919 in Lennox, South Dakota to Eggle and Agnes (Kuper) Bossman. The family moved to Caney, KS in 1931 where Jeanette completed her education graduating from Caney High School in 1937. In April 1941, she married Woodrow James of Tyro, KS in the Tyro Christian Church. Following their marriage they lived in Coffeyville where Jeanette operated a cafe on West 8th St. They later moved to Wichita, KS when Woody was transferred to Beech Aircraft Co. While in Wichita they were members of Country Side Christian Church. Mr. James preceded her in death in 1968. Jeanette worked at Boeing Aircraft for 24 years retiring in 1973 when she married George Lippincott. They moved to Bella Vista, AR, and wintered in South Texas for 12 years. Her hobbies were sewing and crafts and she participated in craft shows and flea markets in Bella Vista, South Texas, Coffeyville, and Branson, MO. They also traveled extensively in the United States and overseas, touring 11 countries. While in Bella Vista they were active members of the Bella Vista Christian Church. Mr. Lippincott preceded her in death in 1995. Following his death Jeanette returned to Coffeyville. Jeanette was a member of the Tyro Christian Church, Joy Class, Bible Study Groups, Friendship Club, AARP, Modern Woodman, Heritage Club, Coffeyville Greeters and CRMC Auxiliary. Survivors include two step-children, Jon Lippincott of Cheyenne, WY, and Jan Lippincott of Auburn, KS; one sister-in-law, Una Mae Bossman of McKinney, TX; two nieces, Connie Tipton of Coffeyville, and Elizabeth Temples of McKinney, TX; three nephews, Clyde Bossman of Afton, OK, George L. Bossman of Plano, TX, and Kevien Bossman of Hannibal, MO; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; and many friends. Besides her husband's and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Bossman, and Harold Bossman, and one step-daughter Jane Barre. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in the Tyro Christian Church with David Bycroft officiating. Burial will be in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, KS. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Jeanette asked memorials be made to the Tyro Christian Church Building Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
