Coffeyville - Loran Dale Orand, Jr., 45, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at his home. He was born January 7, 1964 at Castro Valley, CA to Loran Dale and Caroline (Donnell) Orand, Sr. When he was young his family moved to Coffeyville where he grew up and attended school. Loran graduated from Coffeyville Community College and attended Pittsburg State University. On January 12, 1989, he married Valerie Foster in Coffeyville. They were later divorced. Loran was employed in restaurants in Tulsa and Coffeyville before becoming disabled from injuries received in an auto accident. Survivors include one daughter, Taylor Orand of Dearing; his mother, Caroline Orand-Lee of Coffeyville, one brother, Lance Orand of Coffeyville, and one sister, Lori Baldwin of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by one son, Brett Anthony Orand in 1988, and his father. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 in the First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
