Caroline Jo (Goode) Mullins, age 65, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday morning, September 28, 2009 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas.
She was born March 9, 1944 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Claudie R. and Margie Louise (Hix) Goode. She attended Sedan school, graduating in 1962. On December 16, 1962, she married Johnny Edward McCann in Sedan, Kansas. They moved to Arkansas City, Kansas and in 1968 they moved to Texas, making their home there for 30 years. They were later divorced. She later married Fred Mullins on February 15, 1985. He preceded her in death in 1997.She returned to Sedan in 1999.
She worked for Intermedics Incorporated in Freeport, Texas for 6 years. After many years she was a homemaker.
She was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Sedan.
She is survived by two sons, William Keith McCann of Sedan, Kansas and John Russell McCann of Freeport, Texas; two sisters, Marilyn Eidson of Independence, Kansas and Angie Moore of Brazoria, Texas; one brother, Sam B. Martin of West Columbia, Texas; her step-mother, Hazel Goode of Independence, Kansas; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one uncle, Sammy Goode of Coffeyville, Kansas; two aunts, Eva Jo Heck of Richwood, Texas and Wanda Goode of Sedan, Kansas; Jimmy and Louise Goode of Sedan, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Mullins, her parents, one brother and one sister.
The casket will be closed and friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2009 and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Round Mound Cemetery in rural Wauneta, Kansas with Jerry Hix of Copan, Oklahoma officiating.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Sedan High School Athletic Fund and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
