Brittney Sue Fox, 19, of Coffeyville, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, near Baxter Springs, KS.
She was born February 2, 1990 at Newton, KS to Dennis Robert and Jackie Sue (Artherton) Fox. When Brittney was 2 years old, the family moved to Coffeyville where she grew up and attended school.
Brittney loved time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed singing and writing poetry.
Survivors include her parents, Dennis and Jackie Fox of Coffeyville; maternal grandparents, Jack and Roberta Artherton, paternal grandparents, Robert Fox of and Karlleen Woollard all of Coffeyville; and maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Elam of Sedan. She was preceded in death by her cousin, Jonathan Boomershine in 2007.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Kevin Mote officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Destiny Hope House; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
