Barbara Mary Wilson, 87, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 5, 1922 at Hiattville, Kansas to Patrick Henry and Florence Edna (Wiedenmann) Kelly. She grew up in the Pittsburg area where she attended school.
On November 9, 1940 she married Dale D. Wilson at Joplin, MO. Following their marriage they made their home in Parsons before moving to Coffeyville. Her husband preceded her in death on August 4, 1989.
Barbara was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and Holy Name Altar Society. She enjoyed time spent with her family, and going to casino's. Barbara also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include eight sons, Mike Wilson of Las Vegas, NV, Kelly Wilson of Owasso, OK, Stan Wilson of Coffeyville, Hal Wilson of Pinehurst, TX, Pat Wilson of Coffeyville, Terry Wilson of Neodesha, Tim Wilson of Mooresville, NC, and Al Wilson of Wichita; five daughters, Carol Lark of Minden, NV, Linda Ryburn of Coffeyville, Mary Downing of Coffeyville, Ginger Krueger of South Bend, IN, and Teresa Lee of Andover, KS; three brothers, Cliff Kelly, Joe Kelly and Charles Kelly; 35 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Pat Kelly; and one sister, Madeline Lafayette.
A Rosary Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
