Kaylene Marie Ferguson, 45, of Independence, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her home. Kaylene was born September 25, 1962 at Coffeyville to Charles "Tuck" and Pauline (Grother) Ferguson. She grew up in rural Coffeyville, receiving her elementary education at Tyro and Caney, and graduated from Caney Valley High School in Caney. She was employed at Emerson's in Independence for several years and was employed as a Receiving Clerk at Amazon.com in the Coffeyville Industrial Park. Kaylene was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Caney, she was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her beloved nieces and nephews. Survivors include her parents, Charles "Tuck" and Pauline Ferguson of rural Coffeyville; three brothers and their wife's, Kenneth and Saundra Ferguson of Coffeyville, Roger and Peggy Ferguson of rural Caney, and Richard and Lynn Ferguson of Independence; one sister and her husband; Rita and Willie Stultz of rural Caney; five nephews, Joshua Stultz, Clinton Ferguson, Bradley Ferguson, Jared Ferguson, and Christopher Ferguson; and three nieces, Sara Foote, Kristin Ferguson, and Katelynn Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and one infant brother, Steven Ferguson. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Caney. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Tyro. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville, the casket will be closed. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 pm. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial to Ronald McDonald House of Wichita ; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
