Obituary of Roger Wayne Sunday

Coffeyville - Roger Wayne Sunday, 37, of South Coffeyville, OK, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his home. He was born June 18, 1972 at Coffeyville, KS to Billy Wayne and Anna M. (Hill) Sunday. He grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, and Caney areas, completing his education at Caney Valley High School. He married Nancy McClure, they were later divorced. Roger was employed as a machine operator working at several different companies including AIW until becoming disabled. The last several months he helped his sister Billie at B-Tan in South Coffeyville. Roger enjoyed being with his family, fishing, tinkering with cars, spending time on eBay, and loved dogs. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Anna and Benny Benjamin of rural Tyro; four sisters, Tracie Feeback of Wann, OK, Stacie and Rob Hough of South Coffeyville, OK, Billie and Mark Henderson of South Coffeyville, OK, and Misty Sunday of Cherryvale; numerous nieces one nephews; one great niece and one great nephew; and his companion Chico, the Chihuahua. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the South Coffeyville United Methodist Church, 600 Park Blvd. with Pastor Steve Posey officiating. Burial will follow in the North Edna Cemetery at Edna, KS. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of arrangements.
