Terri Renee' Searles, 39, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident near Blackwell, OK.
She was born September 19, 1969 at Coffeyville to Charles and Sue (Zillifro) Jett. Terri grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, following high school she attended Coffeyville Community College. She lived in the Coffeyville and Edna area all of her life.
On February 21, 2003 she married Mark Searles at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in rural Coffeyville, where Terri was employed as Manager of Day's Inn and Suites.
Terri had attended the First Church of the Nazarene, and for several years was active in the Coffeyville Municipal Band. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with wood.
Survivors include her husband, Mark of the home; one son, Cody Weil of Wann, OK; one daughter, Rumor Weil of Wann, OK; one step-son, Shane Searles of Altamont; one step-daughter, Amber Walker of McCune; her mother and step-father, Sue and Larry Lukens of Coffeyville; her father, Charles Jett of Johnstown, CO; her maternal grandmother, Julia Zillifro of Coffeyville; her brothers and sisters, Chuck Lukens, Tina Myers, Roy Lukens, Cassie Lukens, Jamie Lukens, Matt Lukens, Randy Lukens, David Jett, Darrin Jett, and Dawn Arnt; and three grandchildren, Andon and Cadence Searles, and Kaylee Walker.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2300 West 1st St. in Coffeyville with Rev. C.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
The family suggests memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. (MDA); contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 673337.
