Billie DeeAnn Jaimez, age 65, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville.
Billie was born on March 9, 1948 in Panama City, Florida. She graduated from high school in Panama City, Florida. After high school she attended college. She moved to Coffeyville, Kansas and married Alexander L. Jaimez on March 26, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Coffeyville where Billie worked as an activities director at Windsor Place, and then was a night manager at Coffeyville Community College cafeteria before her health declined.
She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed making jewelry and crafts; also loved playing her computer games.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander Jaimez of the home; one son, Bill Jaimez and wife Mary of Coffeyville, Kansas; one daughter, Alexandria Jaimez of Shreveport, Louisiana; six grandchildren and many others who cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family has suggested memorials to the Holy Name Catholic Church and may be left at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
