Obituary of Joshua James McCann

Sedan - Joshua James McCann, age 27, of Yates Center, Kansas died Saturday evening, May 16, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident near Altoona, Kansas. He was born May 29, 1981 in Winfield, Kansas to Keith McCann and Mary (Miller) Reeves. He attended school at the Central-Burden High School. He later received his GED. He married Tiffany McCann and they later divorced. He worked as a pipeline fitter for BRB Contractors in Topeka, Kansas until the time of his death. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and fishing. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary and Roger Reeves of Altamont, Kansas; his father and step-mother, Keith and Nancy McCann of Oxford, Kansas; two sons, Braxton McCann of Winfield, Kansas and Kollyn McCann of Yates Center, Kansas; one daughter, Kyndel McCann of Winfield, Kansas; three brothers, Robert and his wife Alisha McCann of Altoona, Kansas, Adam Reeves and his wife Grace, and Joe Langhorst; two sisters, Bobbi Reeves and Charlett Moser; maternal grandparents, Frank and Vera Mae Miller of Sedan, Kansas and Nellie Reeves of Winfield, Kansas; and his girlfriend Lindsey Ellis. He was preceded in death by one brother, Justin McCann who passed away in 2007. Cremation has taken place and friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday May 19, 2009 through Thursday, May 21, 2009 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2009 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with the Pastor John Warring of the First Christian Church of Sedan officiating.
