Obituary of Kelly Hargrove

Coffeyville - Kelly Eugene Hargrove, 68, Wichita, KS and formerly of Bartlesville, OK and Coffeyville passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation at Seville in Wichita after at a long illness. He was born on June 23, 1945 in Coffeyville to Ivan and Betty (Trimble) Hargrove. Kelly grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1967 to 1969 in Germany. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army he lived in Wichita, KS and Lincoln, NE before moving to Bartlesville, OK in 1979. Kelly was a home construction builder for many years. In 1970, he married Barbara Boutwell, they had two daughters, Angie and Stephanie. Survivors include his two daughters, Angie Knight and husband Shawn of Nashville, TN, and Stephanie Steiner of Wichita, KS; his mother, Betty Rosson of Bartlesville, OK; one brother, Duane Hargrove and wife Judy of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Diana Young of Bartlesville, OK, and Linda Thompson and husband Tommy of Coffeyville, KS; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Hargrove; his step-father, Finus Rosson; and one sister, Cathy Ford. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Norton of Tyro, KS officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
