Ron Maples
Ronald E. "Ron" Maples, 66, of Coffeyville, passed away Friday morning, April 17, 2009, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born December 25, 1942, at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Frances Orlando and Jeyree (Readdy) Maples. His family moved to Coffeyville where he grew up and attended school.
On November 25, 1961 he married Patricia Scott at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. Ron was in the trucking business for many years
Ron was a lifelong Red Raven and University of Kansas fan.
He had attended the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patti of the home; one son, Scott Maples and wife, Deborah of Coffeyville; one daughter, Susan Ballew and husband Bob of Coffeyville; one brother, Dennis Maples of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one sister, Pat Draper of Frontenac, Kansas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Barry Eugene Maples and Gerald Francis Maples.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville with Dr. Wayne Norton of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Friends may call on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
