Obituary of Judith McDill

Coffeyville - Judith A. McDill, 68, of Coffeyville formerly of Independence and Cherryvale, passed away Wednesday morning, April 1, 2009 at Windsor Place. She was born November 9, 1940 at Kansas City, Missouri to Floyd and Elva (Taylor) Murphy. She grew up and attended school in Cherryvale graduating from Cherryvale High School. Following high school she completed cosmetology school at Independence Beauty College. On June 1, 1964 she married Jerry McDill at Independence. Following their marriage they made their home in Independence. They were later divorced. Mrs. McDill was employed at DANA in Independence for several years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Independence. Survivors include one daughter, Jennelle Speer of Coffeyville; one son John McDill of Independence; two grandsons and three granddaughters. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, with Father Ben Nguyen officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Windsor Place Activity Fund; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
