Noma C. Campbell, 83 of South Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, March 05, 2009 at her daughter home in South Coffeyville.
She was born June 3, 1925 in Coffeyville to Lawrence D. and Robbie (Berry) Pollett. Noma grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School.
In 1945 Noma married Jack Neff, together they had one daughter. They were later divorced.
In 1949 she married Arby Campbell at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville and later in South Coffeyville. Arby preceded her in death in 1991.
For many years Noma operated Noma Campbell Income Tax Service preparing Income Tax forms for many area families, businesses and farmers. Noma loved tax work and studying tax rules and law, when she wasn't working she enjoyed reading, working in her yard and spending time with her family. For the last several years she made her home with her daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene "Chari" Gnatek and her husband Jerome of South Coffeyville, OK; and grandson, Squire Gnatek of South Coffeyville, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arby, and two brothers, Dwight Pollett and Vance Pollett.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Dr. Wayne Norton officiating.
Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
